I want red hair...is that SO much to ask?!

Well, apparently it is, when you have black hair.

Since I can remember, I've wanted to be a red head, when I finally was going to jump on the red band wagon my stylist ever so gently talked me out of it. That's when I went black.

So from this color and cut-

To this color and cut -

Then...after being bored with such long hair...

Then I just couldn't shake wanting RED hair! So I convinced my stylist to give me some fire engine red highlights which I loved but they faded to copper extremely quick.

And now I'm back to all black and have been dying to go ALL red but seeing as I do work in a corporate America office that wouldn't look to kindly on a FULL head of fire engine red I'm thinking something more natural.

I just have to beg and plead with my stylist and see if it come even be done!

Any opinions are welcome!

  1. I really like the first and last ones, but I am a little bit on the play-it-safe-neutral side. No hair dye going on over here! :) I don't understand why your stylist would talk you out of red, though. Not that the black isn't flattering on you, but who're they to decide what you want done to your hair?

  2. I went fire engine red for a year. I loved it but my husband prefers my natural brown so I went back to that. I love how the red highlights looked on you... super cute!

  3. I love the bob haircut! I've always wanted to try it, but I don't have the right face shape for it. I think the first picture under the red-headed options looks the best (I actually want that color as well). What was her reason behind talking you out of going red?

  5. red is such a gorgeous color when done right! my favorite is the first picture you posted. and honestly, it's your hair..not your stylists. maybe find a different stylist to dye it for you? :)
