MAC Cosmetics Comparison and Review - Kelly Yum Yum vs. Candy Yum Yum

When I was hemming and hawing over should I try and track down the new Kelly Yum Yum lipstick, from the newly released Kelly Osbourne MAC Collection, I was looking for comparisons and had a hard time finding any that really helped me decide.

So that's what I have for you today.
Sorry that at this point it's nearly impossible to track down Kelly Yum-Yum. I managed to snag one the day it was released in department stores last week but it wasn't easy!

But I hope it helps answer any questions about how similar or dissimilar these two lippies are!

(satin finish bright blue pink)

(bare and blurry...sorry!)

After 4 hours of wear
Primer -
Nope!
Coats -
Three swipes!
Staying Power -
6/10
So it has staying power because it stains. Your lips stay very pink long after this has come off your lips. But it fades somewhat quickly. The softness of the lipstick doesn't have great staying power. But the stain helps keep your lips nice and pink.
Color Feathering/Bleeding/Build Up/Caking -
Some build up/caking but if you use a primer or a light lip balm that will help with the caking so as it dries out it's not as prone to caking up. No feathering issues.

(matte neon pink)

(bare lips...blurry but you get the idea)

After a few hours of wear
Primer -
Nope!
Coats -
Three swipes!
Staying Power -
7/10
This didn't have as much staining for me as Kelly Yum Yum. Also it had a bit more wear time also.
Color Feathering/Bleeding/Build Up/Caking -
About the same as Kelly Yum Yum in regards to build up/caking. Also no feathering issues to report.

Side by side -

Kelly Yum Yum (left) ** Candy Yum Yum (Right)

I would say MAC is accurate in the description that KYY is a more blue toned pink, but still very bright, and CYY is a lighter and more neon pink.

Definitely different enough to have both!
