Things I Fancy Friday - Bows, Jewels, Dandelions, and a DIY!
Friday, December 13, 2013
I'm here! I'm here!
Don't worry I didn't get asked to join John Mayer or Phillip Phillips band...though John Mayer had back up singers...I could totally piggy back that and offer to sing back up for the back ups.
The show was AMAZING...the hubs and I had an outstanding time. I'm so thrilled we were able to go. I took some video...and by some I mean a lot...and I'll work on uploading them to youtube so I can share some of the highlights!
Okay now on to that fancy stuff.
*******************************************
TartanHearts makes some of THE prettiest necklaces. I'm a huge fan of statement pieces and these fit the bill. I've had my eye on a few for awhile now. I'm in love with the shape of that green beauty up there! Swoon city! Stop by the TartanHearts FB page to stay up to date too.
I know it's kinda odd that this is the second week in a row that I am posting a doorknob...I have a thing for doors...obviously. This purple jewel of a knob is so gorgeous. I'll take 10 of these please. The website I found it on has a handful of other super cute knobs!
You guys...it's a dandelion necklace...this one is a "fluffy" dandelion but there are regular wildflower dandelion versions also. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe if I move to Poland I will automatically be this creative. This woman makes some stunning jewelry with lots of things besides dandelions. Gorgeous!
This little DIY minimalist Christmas tree is SO cute...I kinda wanna try it...but I kinda think at least one of my five feisty felines would destroy the tree and the wall the tree was on. So maybe I'll leave that DIY for someone with less destructive animals like a beta fish or guinea pig.
******You guys I keep getting distracted and looking for box sets or any type of set of Supernatural on Ebay******
This adorable bow scarf tutorial! If only it was cold enough to wear a scarf...when it is I'm totally trying this!

Whew! Well I feel fancier just typing this up. This was actually a legit "fancy" Friday because everything has such a "ooh la la" type of feel it.
Also I plan on sleeping a lot this weekend because I'm still exhausted from the concert on Tuesday.
Nothing like a middle of the week concert to make you realize you're getting old because it takes days to recoup from it!
Also...make sure to come by Monday for Mani Monday...mostly because it's pretty.
What I Wore Wednesday - Red Revival
Wednesday, December 11, 2013
Helloooo Mid-week...I'm so ready to be over you and on to the end of the week. Sorry no offense but I'm ready for the weekend. It's not me...it's you.
So I'm typing this up and it's Monday...the above I'm just assuming that I'll be feeling like that because I do every week on Wednesday...so it was a safe bet.
If you stopped by Monday you know I went to the John Mayer/Phillip Phillips concert on Tuesday SO I thought it would behoove of me to get this post all ready to go...since there is no way I'd be able to after the show on Tuesday.
Is it as confusing as it seems to be going back and forth between present tense and past tense? It's got me all turned around...like I'm in the future while typing this BUT when it's being read on Wednesday it'll be like I'm in the past.
Spooky.
PS - come Friday I will actually post in present tense and maybe...just maybe...be able to share how the actual show was.
Oh right...outfit...

Dress - Prose and Contrast - Modcloth
(I have this in both colors because I love it so much!)
Cardigan - Good ol' black cardigan from Target
Tights - Whoops Modcloth again
Shoes - B.A.I.T Footwear Red Irene Kitten Heel
Rings - Thrift shops
Lipstick - Maybelline Red Revival
Polish - Pahlish - Slow Fade of Love (new formula or the old one...I'm still unsure!)
*******************************************
And just like that another WIWW has come and gone!
Do any of you have either of the Prose and Contrast dresses?
This one is much easier to style for me because the other one is navy and blush pink which can be trying to find a cardigan that works with it...and without a cardigan...I am not myself. Which reminds...I'm still hunting for the perfect blush toned cardigan!
I will see ya Friday!
Mani Monday - Aly's Dream Polish Review - Lightest Blue
Monday, December 9, 2013
Hey everyone!
How was your weekend? Was it busy busy or nice and low key? It was all low key in my neck of the woods and I wouldn't have it any other way. Low key = a chance to recharge.
I'm excited about my upcoming week...mostly because the hubs and I are going to see John Mayer and Phillip Phillips in concert tomorrow! Woo hoo! Has anyone had a chance to see one of their shows since the tour began?
I still plan on posting an outfit photo this Wednesday even though it'll be a late night because of the concert...I'll make it work!
Now...time for some Aly's.
****************************************
Lightest Blue is the most delicate and divine blue I've ever had on my paws.
There is a faint gray tone to it that keeps it from being JUST blue...really gives it a lot of depth.
The holo is perfection in this color...it shines like a faint and lovely rainbow depending on the lighting.
Direct sunlight...gorgeous.
#06 you are my #1 true blue love!
A pretty pair of macros because I couldn't decide which one I liked better...you can see the subtle rainbow a little differently in each.
Oh look! Another pair of macros I couldn't choose between because they both show different facets of the polish. It looks almost unbelievably shiny and shimmery but I promise...it's like this but even more so in person!
Coats -
This was 3 coats but 2 coats would be sufficient...even with 3 it did not feel thick.
Color Intensity -
So intense and so incredibly stunning. This one will get your paws noticed!
Top Coat -
Base Coat -
Orly Nailtrition to strengthen and Pretty & Polished Base Coat
Word on the street is Aly may be opening the shop up at some point in December but I'm sure more accurate info will be given throughout the month on the Aly's Facebook Page.
Needless to say...I'll be placing yet another order whenever the shop opens again!

Things I Fancy Friday - Red Lips, Foxes, and Holiday Goodies!
Friday, December 6, 2013
Another week (or work week) has gone by and here we are again on Fancy Friday.
Has anyone else noticed how PAINFULLY slow the mail is right now? The holiday season is rough for timely mail delivery. I've got a boat load of things coming to me and tick tock people...it'll be Christmas very soon! Gimme all my packages!
**Patience is a virtue I'm asking for for Christmas**
Commence Fancy Friday Finds!
**********************************************
Red lips may not be an every day look for everyone (they are for me!) but it is the holiday season so it'll be a more common go to color for sure. Keiko has an updated step-by-step for the perfect red lip!
This thermos is so gorgeous!
This fox custom hardware is so special and unique...and crazy expensive!
This site has SO many pretty and fun holiday wallpapers! Go to the site from your phone and choose the links to the ones you like and save the image. Easy peasy!
OMG...freaking gingerbread magic cake?? It looks magical...I can only imagine what it tastes like. I'm pretty sure the students at Hogwarts eat this for dessert.
**********************************************
So what have you bought during the last week that you're actually awaiting to be delivered?
Yeah I'm still thinking about my mail and it's slow as molasses in the winter time delivery.
**practice patience woman!**
See ya Monday...I have a stunning polish to show you!
What I Wore Wednesday - Fleeting Fall in Florida
Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Week Two of the new but not really improved outfit posts!
It drives me batty that I the sun is setting by the time I get the chance to take photos to share with you guys! I hate being all blurry like I'm on my jolly way to the witness protection program. (I'm not...or am I??)
**shakes fits angrily at the setting sun**
But I digress.
I will do my darndest to include my in focus detail photos to get a better glimpse at the ensemble and it's bits and pieces.
Oh the subject of the post title...yeah we had two "cool" days here this week so far and starting today through the weekend it'll be 80 or NEAR 80. Florida is a pain in the fall/winter if you actually like the seasons. Considering my massive tights/cardigans/boots collection...it's safe to say I do love the two seasons I get the least time in.
I wore this fall inspired number on Monday when it was nice and cool and fabulous.

I'm aiming for two weeks in a row where I don't miss one of my three posts. I think I'm on a roll! I've missed blogging and connecting with like-minded ladies!
Don't forget to find me on the blog's Facebook page and Instagram so we can chit chat
