Things I Fancy Friday - Maleficent, Spiked Lemonade, and Ampersands

Let's get right to the good stuff today shall we?

Lots of fabulous and fancy finds to share with you guys today!

Let's chit chat at the end of it all!

Let's get fancy....

Angelina as Maleficient is EVERYTHING

Spiked blueberry lemonade?? Get outta town...and bring me one of these! And it's a super easy recipe.

This bordering on gawdy design and I LOVE it! Really it's not gawdy at all...it's just the lamp that makes it "lean" that way but the lamp is of course the best part!

I cannot get enough of this exaggerated ampersand and initials. Perfection. Need it. Need money!

I love every piece of this outfit...I have the hat...I need the dress and boots!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me...major swatch-fest!

I hope you have a great one!

Smitten Polish Review and Swatches - Enchanted Forest

So I'm going to start out by saying...I shall not apologize for overloading you guys on photos for this beauty. But I don't think you'll be looking for an apology anyway!

Lots of macros. No explanation needed there...you'll totally get it when you see it.

Also I'm sure I'm not the only person that immediately thinks of Once Upon a Time when reading the name of this polish. Who else agrees that the BEST villain so far on the show has been Peter Pan...he was SO freaking great!!

Whoops...back on track.

LET'S LOOK AT THE PRETTY!

(bright green linear holographic polish that leans a little bit to the teal side on some skin tones and more to the forest green side on other skin tones)

Indoor lighting in the evening                                 Direct morning light

Woo hoo! Macros!

Coats -
Three coats. No issues with formula or application. Also no staining! I know green can be finicky in regards to staining.
Color Intensity -
I. Can't. Even. This is one of the most divine greens I have ever had on my nails. It's so much more than just green. That blue shift is freaking fabulous. It's not too bright of a green and it's not too dark. It's this amazing blue tinged green which makes it so so special.
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat

Do you love it? Because I sure do!

MAC Cosmetics Review and Swatches - Playland Collection - Red Balloon

I'm back for another week of lipstick reviews/swatches!

I'm not sure how well received they are by you guys but hopefully you don't hate them!

Don't worry I do have other lipsticks other than MAC.

So last week I gave you my thoughts on Head in the Clouds from this same collection...if you missed it....click here.

THIS week I have my review of Red Balloon which is another lipstick in the Playland collection and guess what? I LOVE IT. Leaps and bounds more than Head in the Clouds.

Let's have a look!

(still available in the link above via Nordstroms)

Described as a "hot fuschia" on MAC website

Initial Application - rear facing camera                         After hours of wear - front facing camera

(All photos taken with rear facing camera on iphone 5 for truest color)

Fading after 6 hours of wear

Primer -
No primer but I did have on lip balm (Aquaphor) making it more creamy than it would have been
Coats -
Two good coats on each lip
Staying Power -
7/10 - not perfection but not bad - IF you were this sans lip balm it WILL last longer with less fading
I wore this on Saturday with lip balm or primer and it lasted for half the day though it did gather more in my lip lines.
Color Feathering/Bleeding -
I didn't wear a liner in the photos and as you can see this lipstick didn't bleed or feather into my lip lines.

I HIGHLY recommend snagging this one from the Nordstrom link I provided above. Get it while you still can at retail price! Plus shipping from Nordstrom is FREE! Yes!

See you tomorrow!

Philly Loves Lacquer - Summer Down the Shore Collection - Part 2

Annnnnd I'm back with Part 2 of this oh so fabulous collection!

In case you missed it - click here - to see all the shiny in Part 1 of the Summer Down the Shore Collection from Philly Loves Lacquer.

Have you guys found a favorite yet? Or are you waiting until you see the rest??

Okay okay let's get to it.

On the Way to Cape May
(a bright strawberry colored jelly with red and silver shimmer)

Indirect sunlight

Coats -
Three coats. A thinner formula as it's a jelly but there was no issue with bringing this baby to opacity. No issues with formula or staining (as reds can easily do) overall fab formula.
Color Intensity -
THIS IS SO PRETTY! That shimmers in this polish are easy to see indoors and outdoors. They give the polish such an extra pop of sass! I love that it's not a red red...it leans pink which makes the polish so much more fun!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat

 Under the Boardwalk
(a medium to dark gray crème with a very pronounced purple shimmer)

Indirect sunlight

Coats -
Two thicker than normal coats. No issues with formula or application.
Color Intensity -
THIS is such a unique color. It really is a dark gray as the description but that amazing purple shimmer throughout really gives this polish something special. It darkens it even more and the shimmer is so so pretty. I also love that Esther (the maker of PhLL) didn't just make the obvious summer colors but also included colors like this baby! Because I wear darker colors all year round! Especially when purple is involved!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat

Love Those Wildwood Days
(a creamy sky blue scattered holographic)

Indirect sunlight

Coats -
Two thin coats. A third coat would've completely gotten rid of any patchiness you may see in the photos.
Color Intensity -
Oh it's so darn pretty. That holo is perfection. It doesn't go overboard and completely overwhelm this magical blue color. This is possibly my favorite out of the four polishes from Part 2!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat

Meet Me at Morey's
(a clear-based glitter topper with a mix of 100 different glitter colors and shapes)

Indirect sunlight

Coats -
Two coats. No issue with glitter distribution. No fishing for larger or "abnormal" shaped glitters. Those stars are on my nails all on their own! The clear base wasn't excessive which made application easy.
Color Intensity -
This topper is so fun!!! There are shimmery bits, starts, large circles, tons of colors and shapes. SO FUN!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat

So that's it! The whole shebang. I love them all...every single one of them...perfection.

Mark your calendars polish lovers...this collection WILL RELEASE ON JUNE 1ST at 7pm Eastern
