Whoopsie Daisy!

You guys...I don't know what happened but it appears I took a bit of an accidental hiatus from blogging since my last wedding post on Monday!!

I have been so exhausted and run down this week that I haven't had the will or energy to sit down and blog!

Does that ever happen to you?

I have a big weejend (wedding stuff Saturday and Magic Mike tonight!) but come on back by Monday! I hope to be able to get some photos of my current favorite dress to share with you!

Until then...I leave you with this...

The cutest and most fantastic set of nail polish!

Random Wednesday - Best Birthday Goodies EVER!

Hey lovelies!

Hopefully you are ready to have a little look-see at my birthday goodies that I picked up on Saturday while shopping at a local antique mall.

I tried to get all fancy like and make them into collages so it was less scattered since there are a bunch of photos!

The name of the AMAZING antique mall is - Southern Crossing Antique Mall - and it is the best place ever. Well in Jacksonville. My lovely friend Leda and I went there for the first time a month or so ago and I decided it was the "must visit" place for my birthday. Now the fiance hates shopping and hates shopping for antiques or thrifting more than anything. (Lord help me I wish I could change this but it's unlikely) But he took off the day from work for my birthday and was sweet enough to trek through the expansive square footage with me.

It's a neat place because people rent spaces of the store which are called "booths" even though there isn't any actual booths or names of people who the area belongs to. Each item is simply labeled and marked with a price and a booth number. When you check out each item is accounted for and the booth owner gets credit for the sale. Crazy and so easy. It's nice because with different vendors the pricing is so all over the place so you can find outstanding deals!

We were there for almost 2 hours...

So without further ado...

You guys...these are coasters!!! For $7.50 these had to come home with us.

The fiance bought this for me : ) An army green vintage GE radio...and it works!
$22.50

This is by far my favorite find...by far. I've been looking around online for a similar vanity mirror but this is the best of the best in my book. I saw this gorgeous aqua purse like object and when I picked it up...and opened the lock...I couldn't believe my eyes. You guys it even had the original warranty included. Mirror Go Lightly...and it works!! I've used it every day since and I love it!!
And the price...(I squealed when I found this)
$12.95
I've been looking for something to hold my ring. I bought a little ring holder from Fab and it was awful. My ring hung from the bottom of and hit the counter! When I saw this...it was love at first sight. I knew it would be perfect. Plus it makes me smile every time I life it's little lid to get my ring.
$2.95 (can you believe that price?)

Now these little babies I nabbed because they were so interesting. The scenes are on mirrors and they are so small. I can't wait to hang these. Each mirror has the Tavern Series info on the back with the info about the building etched on the mirror.
$7.00 for all four

And last but not least.

- This wilted daisy is so pretty. It has this odd iridescent look to it so it's sparkles but the colors are somewhat dull at the same time. Love.

- And the jars...I can't even wait to tell you the cost of them...
These are Avon Townhouse canisters circa 1989 and they were one of the many incentives for the Avon reps they aren't items that were sold. I am missing the Confections jar but I do have the other three! Team Room, Coffee House, and Bakery. They are so friggin' adorable.

Daisy - $2.00
Jars - $2.00 per canister. Two freaking dollars for each!!!

Long story short...I should take photos of the actual mall next time I go to share all the fabulous with you.
And I cordially invite you to come and visit me in Jacksonville, FL so we can scour the tight and jam packed nooks and crannies of the best antique mall in Jacksonville.

Talk to you soon!

What I Wore - *Hunger Games vs. Hello Kitty*

Hey everyone!

How was your weekend?

Just an update on me seeing Snow White and the Huntsmen. Well long story short, we didn't see it this weekend, like I had mentioned was the plan last week. But that was my fault because I was super lazy Sunday!

So this is the "norm" outfit post. All of the photos were taken by my mom during my birthday celebration on Saturday. But you can still see what I wore.

If you saw my "what I want" birthday goodies from Friday then I wanted to let you know I did buy one of the items! It was the Nook cover...I just had to have it and it since it was the only thing I could get without ordering it online it's what I went with. Okay so I could have bought the nail polish but it didn't seem birthday present-ish enough. :)

Also, let me explain the title of the post, the fiance bought a bunch of birthday decor in Hunger Games theme and my mom had a bunch of Hello Kitty tableware she was going to use so...they were combined to make a very unique birthday theme!

Here are some photos from my big 2-8!

 Mimosa in hand!

The balloons were supposed to signify the fire portion of "Girl on Fire"

Red velvet and ice cream!

For Father's Day I bought my step-dad John Mayer's new CD so he was showing it off :)

Please try not to pay attention to the naked-esque painting in the background of a lot of these photos...

Cheers!!

And you can't actually see my earrings!

I will share some of the other festivities of the day on Wednesday. You guys...I can't even put into words how great my shopping adventures were for my birthday.

So stop back by on Wednesday for Part 2 of my birthday!

Talk to you soon,

It's My Birthday and I'll Online Shop if I Want To!

Hey hey party people! :)

Thanks for those of you who popped in and read my mini-post yesterday and thanks again to the people stopping by during your weekend to e-celebrate my birthday with me!

I'll be spending the day with the fiance who took the day off work. Our plans aren't set in stone so it'll be a play-it-by-ear birthday extravaganza. But we do know for sure we'll be scooting on down to my parents place this evening to have dinner and cake...red velvet cake. Yum.

So if you know me...you know I LOVE to shop online. Slightly addicted...but don't judge me...because it's my birthday.

So today I want to share things...that...I...want.

Yep...nothing that may appeal to other people just "gimme gimme gimme that" items on my list.

PS - I am 28 today officially at 9:10 pm.

I want this shirt so bad!!! "I'll bury you"...love it. BUT I can't bring myself to spend 20 bucks on it.

This dress - Polka dots...that's all I have to say about that.

These shoes...in every color...you guys they are 28 bucks.

The New York City Ballet collection of polishes from OPI...so so pretty and feminine. It's the closet I'll ever be to a ballerina!

Last but not least...this pretty perfect Nook Tablet cover...while I love my current cover I can't help but want to switch it up for this little intergalactic gem.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed coming along with me on my little window shopping birthday spree!

I will talk to you soon and thanks again for stopping in today :)

Friday Finds - Not Really Though...

I've decided to put off the finds until tomorrow and make it a Birthday Finds list...technically I could do that today but I'd rather have it on the actual DAY of my birthday :)

So not much to see here...just a little note to come by tomorrow and celebrate with me!

Talk to you soon!

My Glam vs. Birch Box - June Edition

Hey guys! How is the week treating you?

My week will improve by 100% come 4 pm this afternoon which is when I clock out of work and begin my 3 day weekend!! Saturday is my birthday so I figured it was only appropriate to make it a long weekend.

And for those of you wondering the age that is gracing me...it's 28. 28 years...crazy...when I was a kid I'm sure I thought 28 was ancient.

Anywho, I kind of enjoyed doing a compare/contrast of the MyGlam bag and Birch Box last month so I thought I'd share again!

Last month MyGlam was the winner by a long shot in my book and surprisingly it wasn't such an easy win this time around....

Birch Box *

This month's theme was your inner jet setter and after seeing some other boxes that went out I'm glad I got what I did. I can't imagine my disappointment if I received self tanner/bronzer my china doll aka Casper skin would've scoffed at such a product.

Miki if you are reading this...when I saw these band-aids I thought of you and your recent post about these!!

I was SO excited when I saw these products! The eye liner and the band-aids...and then the lip stain AND some sweet rose smelling spray. Yes please. Two big thumbs up (big like Tom Cruise's thumbs in Tropic Thunder...that kind of big) for this month's BB! Oh and they sent a neat little sample cologne for men which is nice.

Let's not forget...the stain and the spray were wrapped in tissue paper which was tied with ribbon and cats love ribbon. So if it were up to Charlie and Trixie...BB would win by a long shot this month.

Final verdict - I can't say because I just received the box on Wednesday so I haven't used any of the product yet. Except I tried the stain and I wasn't all that impressed by it. I wouldn't buy a full size I know that much. But at first glance...it is a great box!

* MyGlam *

I failed at taking photos of the "info insert" that came with the bag this month so I don't have any of their product like in the BB photos. BUT I can say this month's bag was a Out All Night inspired bag.

Hellllooooo glitter clutch! This was a new style of bag than the normal zipper pouch and it couldn't have been more perfect for the theme. And to top it off...my nails are gold right now so it was kinda like a match made in heaven.

I was thrilled when I opened the bag. Thrilled I tell ya. Finally...I could use all of these products! It's hit or miss with these curated bags if you'll be able to use any of them.

And Trixie couldn't choose her favorite product either. Though she could have used a better tactic to decide...hers was just shoving everything off the table then pawing at whichever was shiniest.

Final Verdict -
Since I received my bag on Monday I've had the chance to use all the products!

-The Living Proof frizz-ease cream is great...I don't really have issues with flyaways but I love the way it smells and it does what it says from what I can tell.
-The Take a Breath from Purology is magic. It makes my skin feel so fresh and lovely. I may have to shell out the 34 bucks for the full size...maybe...that's a heck of a lot of money.
- NYX Round Lipstick in Orange Soda has an adorable name but is an AWFUL color. Someone told me on instagram that they are using it as an under eye concealer and it works great though. The color I received sucks...yep...but it is a great lipstick. I may try them in other colors because there are a ton to choose from.
- Marbella semi-permanent liquid eyeliner is great. This is the first time I've used liquid eyeliner since I made myself look like fancy skunk as a teen. It stays on...somewhat of a pain to take off...but NO smudging which is amazing.

So Who Won?

This month will have to go to MyGlam again. It was a tough call but what pushed it into the top spot was that I received my MyGlam bag first and had more time to try the products out! And they were sent out within a day of each other! Plus I can't get enough of the Purology moisturizer!!

Did you get one or both of these this month? How did you like what you got?

Talk to you soon!

What I Wore - *Snow White and the Men in Black*

Hey guys!

Well first let me explain the title of this post. Initially when these outfit photos were taken we were on our way to see Snow White and the Huntsmen so I wore red in honor of Snow's red cape she wears...at least in the Disney version!

Then our plan was thwarted! The 1:30 showing of Snow White was sold out and the next showtime wasn't until 3:30! I was not happy BUT we ended up seeing Men in Black 3 because it started in the next half hour. It ended up being a good choice because it was great. Josh Brolin was AMAZING as the young Tommy Lee Jones! He looked pretty slick too.

So next weekend (my birthday weekend!) we will be seeing Snow White and then I'll have to wear something for the blue portion of her cape. I believe the top side of her cape was blue and the under side was red. Heaven knows I have to be dressed in theme.

Have any of you seen either movie? What did you think?

After the movie we had dinner at Pepper's...where we had our first date to celebrate our 2 year anniversary! I swear...they have the BEST margaritas.

**************************************************

Okay...photo time...PS it was HUMID as all hell so there is fog that I tried to downplay as best I could when I edited them. And I'm wearing tights because it gets cold in the theater...not because it's cold outside!

I thought I'd include my bag since I never seem to bring my purse out for photos.

Begin spin...

End spin

Mark said that it looked like I was holding up the fog...I couldn't use any photos from the beginning because the shots were foggy and my glasses were completely fogged.

Laughing because I probably look insane wearing tights when the weather is so hot.

Shoes!

Guys...it was so humid I couldn't even stand it. Having bangs like this makes summer almost unbearable because it's like wearing a HELMET!

One of the first photos...I had to take my glasses off otherwise you wouldn't see my eyes!

Florida is lame. But we were lucky to get a break in the rain so we could snap these before we left!

Wears Head to Toe -

That's it for this week of outfits!

Friday Finds - Sangria, Books, and Bottles

Hey strangers...sorry I haven't been around here since Monday. I've been in a bit of a funk and just kind of shut down a bit. As in...have been less social than I normally am. Sometimes I think...why in the world would anyone want to read what I type??

Usually the more stressed I am at work...the more I shut down so it was just one of those weeks!

But this weekend two exciting things are happening.

First...I have a hair appointment on Saturday and that's always nice. I've been trying my patience and attempting to grow my hair out...every time I get my hair done I have to fight myself to NOT chop it off.

And the MOST exciting thing....this Sunday our 2 year anniversary...pre-marriage anniversary!
We'll be celebrating at the restaurant we had our first date at...fish taco's and margarita's are in my future. Yes!

Anyways...time for some finds...there are a few more than normal because I couldn't narrow it down.

Soooo...is it too late to move the location of the wedding...to Japan.

Speaking of the wedding. This little yummy beauty is a sangria...which we will have as the "drink" for the reception. It was my one beverage request...sangria!

I...want...these. Yes those exact bookcases. They are mismatched perfection.

If you haven't read The Mortal Instruments books yet...I highly recommend you do. I just finished Book Five yesterday and now must wait yet again for the next book! PS - it is in the process of being made into a movie.

Well this is just the cutest knot I've ever seen. Maybe new age sailors are learning how to make THESE knots instead of the ol' boring ones.

Cutest idea EVER...'nuff said. (PS - those are my wedding colors - white and yellow)

Lastly...I want to live here. ASAP.

That's it for this week. See anything you like? This weeks finds make me smile and that is always a good thing.

What are your plans for the weekend?

PS - you can join me in my weekend fun on twitter/instagram!
