Friday Finds - Sangria, Books, and Bottles

Hey strangers...sorry I haven't been around here since Monday. I've been in a bit of a funk and just kind of shut down a bit. As in...have been less social than I normally am. Sometimes I think...why in the world would anyone want to read what I type??

Usually the more stressed I am at work...the more I shut down so it was just one of those weeks!

But this weekend two exciting things are happening.

First...I have a hair appointment on Saturday and that's always nice. I've been trying my patience and attempting to grow my hair out...every time I get my hair done I have to fight myself to NOT chop it off.

And the MOST exciting thing....this Sunday our 2 year anniversary...pre-marriage anniversary!
We'll be celebrating at the restaurant we had our first date at...fish taco's and margarita's are in my future. Yes!

Anyways...time for some finds...there are a few more than normal because I couldn't narrow it down.

Soooo...is it too late to move the location of the wedding...to Japan.

Speaking of the wedding. This little yummy beauty is a sangria...which we will have as the "drink" for the reception. It was my one beverage request...sangria!

I...want...these. Yes those exact bookcases. They are mismatched perfection.

If you haven't read The Mortal Instruments books yet...I highly recommend you do. I just finished Book Five yesterday and now must wait yet again for the next book! PS - it is in the process of being made into a movie.

Well this is just the cutest knot I've ever seen. Maybe new age sailors are learning how to make THESE knots instead of the ol' boring ones.

Cutest idea EVER...'nuff said. (PS - those are my wedding colors - white and yellow)

Lastly...I want to live here. ASAP.

That's it for this week. See anything you like? This weeks finds make me smile and that is always a good thing.

What are your plans for the weekend?

PS - you can join me in my weekend fun on twitter/instagram!

Talk to you soon!

  1. Well, happy dating anniversary! We still kind of celebrate ours, too, and it's weird to think about how long we've been together total vs. how long we've been married. It makes me feel kind of old, ha ha.

Also, that cottage is adorable. :-)

  5. Happy anniversary, guys! Hope you have a great date night :P! Wanna know a little funny something about my first with David? Right after I picked him up at the airport, we dropped off his luggage at the apartment I'd rented for that week and then went to eat out. Before we finished eating, David tells me, "You have parsley on your tooth". Hahaha! I'm so sexy!

Yum, yum! I love sangria! I could have a glass right now!

Hope you have a great weekend! ;D

  8. And of course your blog isn't showing up in my dashboard... ugh! Thought it was odd that you'd had no Friday post, so I popped on over-- and what a glorious Friday post it is!

Love all of your finds, especially the sangria (great choice), the bookcases, and the coke bottles with daisies. I have a coke bottle with two fake daisies sitting on my dresser. It feels so lovely!

Sorry to hear you've been having a bad/stressful week-- I totally know what you mean about feeling like "Does anyone even care?" But I care! Keep posting! :)!
