So...I have good news and bad news.
Good news is I have a brand that's new to the blog to share with you today!
Bad news is...it's a brand that sells out of polishes relatively quick during restocks...meaning this polish isn't available right now. Not until the next restock anyway.

So I want to formally apologize for sharing photos of an unavailable polish BUT I hope you enjoy what you see!
(cherry red polish full of red sparkles and iridescent blue shimmer and flakes)

Coats -
Two coats. No issues with formula. This did seem to dry pretty quickly and it has a waxy/tacky finish so it's best to work quickly.
Color Intensity -
Super fun and spunky color. The description from the website says blue flakes/shimmer but they read more purple to me. Either way it's fine with me. I love it to pieces. It isn't straight up red...it leans pink..which is what gives it such a unique hue.
Top Coat - HK Girl - I recommend two coats of a top coat for this if you want it shiny.
Base Coat - Pretty Serious

Well well well...I have a little bit of lippie to share with you today!
Lipstick is subbing in for polish today because I'm giving my nails a break.
Have you tried Milani brand makeup? It's great because it's inexpensive and easy to find for the most part.
Actually before I moved to Gainesville I never saw Milani in any Walmart in Jacksonville. It's cheaper at Walmart than any CVS or Walgreens. So check out some of your Walmart stores before you go to CVS/Walgreens.
So now that it's getting closer to fall all of my red and darker colors make sense to wear! Yay! Now I'll start appearing like I know what seasons are because I wear dark colors all year round.

Primer -
Not a stitch of primer
Coats -
A couple swipes. This is a very opaque lipstick. You won't have to work very hard to get full coverage.
Staying Power -
7/10
Well I had a "after 4 hours of wear" photo but then I accidentally deleted it so you'll have to take my word for the wear. It's long lasting and stays pretty soft throughout that entire time and then some. It's not drying at all.
Color Feathering/Bleeding/Build Up/Caking -
As you can see in the photos right after application it already began to feather/bleed a bit. After four hours the feathering was slightly more prominent. If you wear a liner with this it will definitely help with this small issue. I didn't have any issues with build up and caking probably because it isn't drying.

Have you guys recovered from the punch of pink from yesterday?
Man I love that polish!
Another polish and brand that I love? Smitten!!!
I wanted to share a polish today that was the complete opposite from yesterday and this pretty little number hits the nail on the head.
I want to point out that you may see some tip wear on my nails in these photos. I used a top coat I don't normally use and that led to some slight tip wear. I'll share that info in the recap/review at the end.

THAT SHIMMER...look at it on my up there on the left and down below in the macros. Pretty fabulous right?
Three coats. A thicker formula than I like but still manageable. If I hadn't been so far away from my thinner I would've added a couple drops and it would've been easy peasy. As you can tell even with the thicker formula I had no issues with application or leveling.
Color Intensity -
Subtle but full of sass. That green shimmer is so so special and it's not shy! Sometimes shimmers can be really difficult to see in regular light but the green so easily shined through. A must have gray in any polish stash!
Top Coat - KB Shimmer
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat
So two things before I sign off.
- Tornado Skies is a LAST CHANCE polish - it's still in stock but grab it while you can because once it's gone...it's not coming back! Snag it here!
- I haven't used the KB Shimmer top coat much so this was a trial run - I will continue testing it before I assume it shrinks every polish! It could've been a fluke!

Hey everyone!
I'm sorry my Things I Fancy Friday posts have been MIA. You'd think with me being job-less I would have all the time in the world to type up five posts a week but it doesn't seem to be happening that way!
I'm feeling down and out about not having any job prospects yet but I'm trying to stay positive and keep my nose to the grindstone. In the 11 years since I graduated high school I've always worked full time in good ol' corporate America. So needless to say...this lapse of work...kinda stings.
But on to brighter things...literally.
If you're in polish groups on Facebook you've probably seen this stunner around. Today I have a blindingly bright pink from Bear Pawlish to share with you. So let's get to it!

Color Intensity -
Oh come on. It's almost silly to have fill out this section because of how intense this polish is! Really even more so in person. Your nails will NOT go unnoticed because they will be fierce as hell! The blue/purple that hints in the holo of this beauty really makes this pink even more special than all the rest. Bright and bold and absolutely beautiful!

So last night I was sitting in front of my row of helmers (aka what I store my polish in) trying to decide on what I want to paint my nails with. It goes without saying I own a lot of polish so sometimes choosing the right one for a mani is a pain. Whatever I chose would also need to be photographed for this little ol' blog of mine so I had to keep that in mind too.
With ALL that being said...
I decided on a brand that's new to the blog! Yaaaay!
Mentality Nail Polish is pretty amazing.
I own a lot of polish from the brand for two main reasons...they're all gorgeous and they are SO fairly priced!
I more or less randomly chose this polish out of my Mentality stash but boy oh boy did it surprise me.

Three thin coats. Jelly polishes have a tendency to needs more coats for full opacity but the formula was perfectly thinned so the three coats didn't make it feel like I had too many layers. Perfect jelly!
Color Intensity -
I know it looks like I've edited the photos in some way to make the color shine and the holo pop the way it does but considering I don't edit the polish in any way for photos...what you see is what you get! And OMG...you get a whole load of amazing. The blue is such a unique shade of blue. It's this perfect in between because it's not dark and it's not a light blue or neon. It's not too bold or too weak in color. Love love love!
