NailNation3000 Review & Swatches - 4 The Love of Polish

Hey hey guys!

I have NailNation to share with you today. Let's be honest...I will always probably have NN3000 to share with you. I think I have more polishes from NN than any other brand. But don't take my word for it...'cuz your girl has a lot of polish.

4 The Love of Polish was a part of one of the most recent releases and it's pretty fabulous.

Pink/purple lovers this is definitely for you. Also for people who want polish with some office appropriate oomph!

Let's get to it!

*Purple based mid-tone pink holo with pearl chrome undertone*
**This is such a gorgeous polish. NN3000 does it again...like she does every time! It's not too purple learning or too pink. It's this lovely mix of both making it really perfect for any season. No issues with application or formula.**

Mid-week Coffee Break- Salted Peanut Chews, Floating Vases, & Abstract Art

Hey friends!

So we made it to Wednesday. That's gotta count for something right?

I think it's time for a much needed coffee break. Or energy drink break...because I have a habit aka obsession with drinking them during the work week. For some creepy reason they stay carbonated for SO long. Yep, I'm that weirdo nursing an energy all day at the office.

So let's get to the finds shall we?

This is such an adorable mug. His name is Mr. Beaky!

This abstract painting is such a perfect piece for this room

This floating vase DIY is so pretty!

This dreamy and rustic headboard

Salted Peanut Chews...that is all

Coconut water lemonade...it looks so freaking refreshing. I haven't found a coconut water I actually liked but paired with lemonade...that could work!

See you tomorrow!

My Darling Curios Review & Swatches - Manic Melon

Hey guys!

Can we just take a second a try to figure out how in the world it's nearing August??

It's been in the mid-90's in my neck of the woods through most of July so I'm really not looking forward to the hottest time of the year in Florida. Ick.

Anywho, I have a new to me brand to share with you today!

My Darling Curios had a big sale a little while ago where I bought a 6 polishes...I think. In that package was a little mini polish called Manic Melon. Oddly enough I used the mini before I used any of the ones I purchased! A couple weeks later there was another sale and like the devoted polish addict that I am...I bought the full size of this! The photos show the mini bottle because it's the only one I had at the time.

Make sure to follow her IG because sales are announced there before anywhere!

*It looks like this babe is sold out right now. I can't say I know if/when it will be restocked but have no fear...there are some beautiful alternatives for sure!*
**Watermelon pinky polish with holo dust**
***I was so in love with my nails when I wore this. It also lasted for 3 days...and would've lasted longer...if I left it on. Normally I'm ready to switch after day 1 of a polish. No issues with application or formula**

It's a mug...and it's a donut.

This rustic kitchen is beautiful...and that window!

This is a great post! An easy DIY light box!

I just love row houses. So quaint and colorful!

Hawaiian Bubble Bread...oh my.

Speaking of pineapple...how about a cooler for these insanely hot days??

A Look Inside - My Office!

So I thought it would be fun to share with you guys where I work. Well not where I work, as in my full time job, but where I work on all the polish things!

That is far more exciting to see then my desk at my work.

Over the weekend my husband and I took a little trip to IKEA in Tampa. We are about the same distance from both Orlando and Tampa, both of which have an IKEA, normally we go to Orlando but we switched it up this time!

I finally came to terms with needing more than just my helmers. I needed 1-2 more helmers to fit both my tried and untried polishes...but IKEA changed the colors of their helmers. I already had four silver ones...I didn't want something different! It made my OCD state of mind go all haywire.

So I decided to invest in a couple of Alex units. Now my Alex drawers hold my untrieds and my helmers store both my tried polish and misc things like stickers/decals/base/top coats.

I'll share little tid bits about the photos below each photo. So I don't keep clogging up this post with so much explanation!

Wide shot of the polish storage area. The rug is from IKEA. I've had it for years and I still love it! The picture is also from IKEA...I've had it for years too and it's still my fave!
The swatch sticks below the picture are on a wire and they are just where I store all of my sticks after I swatch new polish. Also...an Olive photobomb.

There they are! My husband was such a trooper getting these built this weekend. He knew I was chomping at the bit to get organized! Above those is just a bulletin board I covered with fabric. I've had it for probably...4 years. I keep photos I've taken of my cats, miscellaneous cat themed things, business cards, playbills. Anything that I want to save!

And now my helmers have turned into helmer towers! I don't have much space in the office because my husband and I share the room so I had to get creative. Lucky for me...my husband is handy because he bolted them to each other to make sure they wouldn't fall.

Here is my desk! I bought this a couple of months ago. I needed storage for my makeup. Storage that wasn't out in the open. Yep it's from IKEA. It's perfection. Now every bit of makeup has a designated space and most of it, except for my lipstick, is out of site! This is also where I blog and paint my nails.

My favorite desk item is probably my Muji drawers. I LOVE lipstick. I also love to see it. These 5 drawer acrylic organizers are the bees knees. Also you'll see my Bertie Botts jelly beans from The Wizarding World, a little flower pot from IKEA that holds my ColourPop Lippies, a notepad from IKEA, and some other knick knacks I've been given or purchased over the years.

Make up brushes, a light from IKEA to help shine some extra light in the morning when I get ready, my mirror, and that nifty little magnetic strip that holds random makeup & nail polish items.

This is a new set up. Once I brought in those giant Alex drawers...I needed to rearrange and try my best to keep things from looking jam packed. I used to take photo at my desk but I may try this from  now on. I like that I don't have to move my lights back and forth so we shall see. Also that container full of polish are polishes that I need to swatch on swatch sticks!

This is my little dancing devil that stays on my windowsill. He was given to me a couple years ago when I worked at Nemours. He always made me smile because he just loves to groove.

There's Miss Olive signing off!

That's it! If you want to see a stash post or anything like that just let me know. I know some people enjoy them and some people...not so much.

Thanks for reading and taking the tour!

How do you store your polish?

Mid-week Coffee Break - Dreamy Laundry, Ginger Mint, & Coffee

Hey guys!

This is a short week for posts. This will be it for this week. I'll be back next week with three posts again. Just wanted to let you know!

I have some fun finds to share with you today. Especially...the mug. Yep indeed!

I hope you find some things you like and haven't seen before!
Well I had to share a Harry Potter inspired mug today after my post yesterday!

This vase is too cute.

I may enjoy or at the very least not mind doing laundry if this was the laundry room!

This bathroom is perfection. From the floors to the ceiling.

Ginger mint cooler...how refreshing!

Coffee...cake...donuts. So good.

LynBDesigns Review & Swatches - What Ailment'll It Be?

Hey my Harry Potter loving friends!

That's right. More Harry Potter goodness!

I shared with you the last two Harry Potter inspired collection from LynBDesigns here and here.

This collection has pretty adorable and slightly icky names. Which is just perfect if you ask me.
The previous collections were darker colors and this one is full of bright and summery colors.

What Ailment'll It Be? will launch THIS week on the 17th at 7 pm EST.

Dizzying Dandy
**Sherbet orange crelly base with peach flakies, orange, white, & yellow glitters**
***This sassy little orange is opaque in three coats. No issues with application or formula. Sherbet is the perfect description for this polish! So fun!***

Sweet Induced Sweat
**Light blue crelly base loaded with red & blue glitters, navy holo glitter, white triangular glitter, & white flakies.**
***This is such a sweet blue. I just love the different glitters in this. There was no issue with any differing glitter sizes. The formula and application was easy peasy. Opaque in three coats***

Bloody Bogey
**Bright pink crelly with white diamonds, red hexes, & various holo glitters**
***This little glittery pink dream is so much fun! It seems like more of a jelly than a crelly but it's still opaque in three coats. It's full of a lot of random glitter goodness too! You won't have any issues getting any of the glitters on the brush. No issues with application or formula.***

Launching Lozenge
**Spring green crelly based with gold flakes, purple micro glitter, teal, yellow, white, & lavender glitters**
***This is probably my favorite out of the four. I'm not normally a huge fan of pastel-type green but this one is so special. It's full of so many exciting colors & shapes. Opaque in three coats and no issues with formula or application***
