NailNation 3000 - Doppelgänger #09
Thursday, February 20, 2014
Okay...so I would be lying if I said I didn't originally buy this polish from NailNation 3000 because it rang true to my love of The Vampire Diaries.
Then I painted my nails with it because I couldn't find any swatches of it on actual nails and I wanted a photo for my pinterest...and then I became overwhelmed with joy that my love for The Vampire Diaries...led me to this baby!
Hey lookie there the polish matches Damon's shirt!
Oh right...the polish.

What I Wore Wednesday - Seasons and Seychelles
Wednesday, February 19, 2014
Soooo I've been in a bit of a funk recently. Lots of changes are around the bend. Not in blog world but in "life" world. I'm not one that excels at change. As a matter of fact I'm SUPER anti-change. I'm the quintessential creature of habit. I suppose life doesn't always play nice and make it easy!
More on life happenings as they happen. Maybe. I don't know how much people want to read about the life behind the blog surface!
In the mean time...how about...a nice somewhat blurry outfit photo and some incredibly non-blurry detail photos?? Yaaay!
Dress - I completely forget. I BELIEVE it's Darling brand but I've had it for years
Cardigan - Charter School Cardigan in brown
Necklace - Precious Perfumer Necklace
Tights - basic brown tights from Target
Shoes - Seychelles "Ampersands" from Ideeli sale can be found on sale here also
*But I highly recommend watch Ideeli for the BIG sales on this brand*
Lipstick - MAC Girl About Town
Glasses - Zenni
The Deets...

And proof that I do go outside even if it's only once and awhile when it's still cool out and hasn't quite changed seasons yet aka melt your face off hot in Florida...in March.
Swing on by tomorrow for....well you'll just have to wait and see!
Mani Series - Sherlock - A Study in Polish - Not Our Division
Tuesday, February 18, 2014
So we meet again...well well well...
By now if you're checking out the Sherlock mani series you either LOVE Sherlock like I do...OR you love freaking fabulous polish.
Both reasons are fabulous reasons.
So as of today we're at Week 5 in the series!
Boy do I have a gorgeous one for you today. If you love blue or just a good deep, dark, and beautiful polish you will love this one.
Not Our Division
(*A royal blue crelly base is filled with silver glitters and a hint of sassy holo sparkle)
This is SUCH a stunning blue...even more so in person.
Let's get up close and personal with this stunner.
See those little shimmer bits that are catching the light in the macros above and below??
Those are little holo specs! Gah!
Coats -
Two seriously easy as pie coats. Completely opaque in two coats and if you use a regular coat rather than a thin one on the first go around you would only need one. Great wear time - two days and still looking fresh.
Color Intensity -
Really stunningly intense. Depending on lighting it can look like a deep dark blue but it will lighten up in outdoor light so it's more of a bright blue. No matter what...it's gorgeous.
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat -
Here is a direct link to the listing.
You are missing out if you don't snag a few of these polishes in the collection!
One more week in this series!!
Swing by tomorrow for What I Wore!

Aurora Lacquers - The Dusty Fairy and Shimmering Orchids
Monday, February 17, 2014
Hey friends!
How goes it? I hope your weekend was more active than mine. I managed to tweak my knee somehow so I did little to nothing this weekend. Thank you to my husband for helping me this weekend when I needed something!
I did get a chance to get some pretty polish on my paws though on Saturday!
Aurora Lacquers is a new polish brand that really hit it out of the park with her first handful of colors!
I have a couple to share with you today and a couple more next week.
I'm a lover of all things whimsical and the names alone of these beauties speak to that part of me. Then they go and end up being stunning polishes too. That's always a good thing.
Let's take a look shall we?
The Dusty Fairy
(*grey-silver polish with tones of blue and purple throughout)
There is SO much shimmer and glimmer in this baby that it's hard to capture on camera!
Let's MACRO!
I'm obsessed with the blue shimmers in this baby. I don't see as much purple as I do blue but I'm not upset about that. I love it just how it shows in these photos. I wasn't able to get a direct sunlight photo because of the whole knee thing but I can only imagine how stunning it is in the sun.
Coats -
Three thin coats. Two probably would've been enough but I was obsessed with seeing all the shimmer as I was painting the coats! A thicker formula but nothing that is an issue to work with.
Color Intensity -
Wowza! Very intense. Not like a bright/bold color type intensity but like...something a fairy princess or Tinkerbell would wear...so it's whimsically bold.
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat -
Shimmering Orchids
(*pink-purple glitter polish packed with tons of sparkle and glimmer)
Look at those orchids shimmer!

Coats -
Just like the beauty above three thin coats. And also two coats probably would've been sufficient. Another thicker formula but nothing that made the polish unmanageable as you can see it's very smooth and not goopy.
Color Intensity -
It's a beautiful in between of vivid pink and light purple. Not too much but just enough. The sparkles have the chance to really shine in this one. Shine on sparkles!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat -
Aurora Lacquers had it's "soft" Grand Opening Friday and Sunday with just a few polishes on hand to sell but make sure to like the FB Page and keep an eye on the Etsy shop! I know I'll be trying to snag some full sizes of a few of the ones I have!
