What I Wore - *Date Night - Hot Pink Flowers*

Hello Lovelies! Finally a non-work outfit!

I looove this dress. It's a tad short for my taste but with the tried and true tights it doesn't feel SO short. Plus I pair it with flats for the most part which also helps with the length.

Ooooh...I love these earrings...I wear them at least once a week when I need a subtle earring but still with some color in it.

Please don't let my roots distract from the oh so lovely bright flowers on the dress! 2 more weeks until my hair appointment!

 Scrunch face!

Wears from Head to Toe -

Dress - Target
Crocheted Vest - Francescas Collections
Earrings - World Market
Tights - Happy Socks
Belt - Thrifted
Shoes - Even though you can't really see them they are from DSW

Our date night consisted of dinner and a movie, we saw Captain America, which wasn't AS good as I thought it would be but still worth seeing!

Have you seen any good movies lately?

I want red hair...is that SO much to ask?!

Well, apparently it is, when you have black hair.

Since I can remember, I've wanted to be a red head, when I finally was going to jump on the red band wagon my stylist ever so gently talked me out of it. That's when I went black.

So from this color and cut-

To this color and cut -

Then...after being bored with such long hair...

Then I just couldn't shake wanting RED hair! So I convinced my stylist to give me some fire engine red highlights which I loved but they faded to copper extremely quick.

And now I'm back to all black and have been dying to go ALL red but seeing as I do work in a corporate America office that wouldn't look to kindly on a FULL head of fire engine red I'm thinking something more natural.

I just have to beg and plead with my stylist and see if it come even be done!

Any opinions are welcome!

Movin' on to September - Fabulous Friday Finds!

Boy am I ready for a three day weekend. This work week has gone by incredibly slow but I'm assuming it's because I am in fact counting down to the long weekend!

I'm so excited to share with you another batch of fabulous finds!

*Also, I just read that UrbanOG is offering a pretty nice coupon for Labor Day and I had to share with my shoe lovin' ladies out there - use coupon code LABOR0902 for 25% off!*

There isn't any rhyme or reason to my selection to share, as usual, it's just recent items that sparked my fancy (though there does seem to be a good bit of home accessories)!

Look for the Silver Lining print via FlapperDoodle aka Scathingly Brilliant - I must've been in the dark but I didn't realize Kate also had a shop until I read her post yesterday. I must admit I ordered a few items as soon as I saw her shop!
Vintage Mushroom Cookie Jar via ProjectRandom - This is such a cute jar! Love the colors too!

Pink Pleated Ascot via Urban Replay - I came so so close to buying this beauty but I really don't think it's my size...but maybe it is...I really need to measure my waist. *Mental note*

Mice Under Mushroom via Retro Mod Eclectic - Okay so another mushroom makes an appearance but these little guys are SO cute!

Retro Owl Salt and Pepper Shakers via Vintageous102607 - What a dreamy little face that owl has...he looks like he's about to doze off for a mini owl siesta. What an adorable way to add some salt to your meal!

There they are lovelies! Do you have any finds on your list of "faves" that you are close to making the jump and buying?

Talk to you soon!

The First Thrifty "Tutorial" Thursday of September!

And because it's the first TTT in September, the craft is Fall-esque themed, yay Fall!!

I welcome Fall with open arms...hopefully my arms will feel a chill in the air soon too...I'm over the FL heat!

Unfortunately, the Fall season doesn't quite have the appearance as the photo above in Florida, palm trees don't change much!

Anyway, here is a tutorial I came across recently, that I plan on giving a shot hopefully before the Fall season passes! It's okay...I could make it work for a winter craft too. : )

It's titled -

It's what I would call it a 3D book craft.

The color and the choice of fruit gives it a very Fall feeling. You can make it into any shape you want though which is neat.

Check out Cheeky Magpie for the full run down of the tutorial.

What gets you in the Fall mood? Is it the change in clothing? The spiced coffees that start to come out of the summer slumber?

See you tomorrow for Fabulous Friday Finds!
