What I Wore Wednesday - Floral Frock and What Not
Wednesday, May 7, 2014
Happy speed bump to the weekend day!
It's a huge freaking speed bump...like one you have to go 5 mph over...but it's there nonetheless.
So today I have a floral number to share with you and it's not something I would typicall wear. Come to find out...it's one of my FAVE items in my closet now. It was a hand me down from a coworker of mine and I figured it would work for a throw on and go type ensemble. Then low and behold...I love it. It can be dressed up or down. Well dressed up as in...made work appropriate.
Do you have one of those hidden gems in your closet?

Dress - hand me down
Necklace - Forever 21 (sold out!)
Cardigan - Charter School Cardigan in Brown
Tights - Target tights
Shoes - Zulily sale - "brand" is MyDeliciousShoes
Glasses - Zenni Optical
Ring - Instagram Shop - @kitschy1969
Lipstick - NYX Chunky Dunk in Watermelon Cooler
Nail Polish - Myster Pahlish!
Let's get detailed -

So to my surprise these shoes were adorable and super comfortable. This is the first time I had worn them since getting them from Zulily.
Look when you spent less than 10 bucks on a pair of shoes, which is normally my price range on zulily shoes, it's surprising when they are comfortable.
Also I know it's glaringly obvious now that most of my shoes/accesories come from Zulily...this I cannot help...the deals are too hard to pass up. The shoes especially!
I will see you tomorrow for an Aly's mani post!!
Smitten Polish Review - Coral-I-See
Tuesday, May 6, 2014
I'm just going to start out with an apology.
I swear it wasn't intentional that I post TWO posts in a row of polish that isn't easy to find.
Sorry!!
Thursday I WILL post a polish that can be found easily!
Coral-I-See is a custom polish made by Noelle aka the maker of Smitten Polish. It was made for a somewhat small group of Smitten devotees. A fellow Smitten lover was oh so very kind and gifted it to me!
While this isn't a polish that is widely available I do hope you love what you see!
Coral-I-See

Coats -
Two coats. No issues with formula.
Color Intensity -
Wowza indeed! While named Coral-I-See I would say this is a much more pink leaning coral. I think that's mostly due to the shimmers throughout the polish more so than the base color. This is a stunning polish to say the least. It screams summer! More on the wild side than the demure. Definitely one that will get you noticed in the best of ways.
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat
Do you have any Smittens in your stash? Is it on your "to try" list?
The microglitters from Smitten are amazing and of course the holos! I'm hard pressed to say there is a polish from Smitten that isn't divine.

Pahlish Review - Mystery Holo Creme
Monday, May 5, 2014
Annnnd we're back.
The first full week of May in full swing. What's the temperature like for you in your neck of the woods right now? If it's anything like it is here in Florida...it's full steam ahead to misery.
Then again...I loathe the heat and the humidity is a killer.
So anywho...today I have another Pahlish to share with you! Granted this may not seem all that nice to share because it was a mystery polish so for the most part I would chances are it would only show up for sale/swap in polish groups. If anything this post is to share some of the pretty you can expect when you take a leap of faith and buy a mystery from Pahlish.
Not only are the mysteries very affordable and unique but they are also divine. I've yet to buy one that I didn't love. As of right now there are three categories of mystery polishes.
Mystery Crème - crème only - no glitter or shimmer
Myster Holo - same as below but only holo
Mystery Pahlish - mystery chosen at random - "oops batches", prototypes, test bottles & unreleased
Today's mystery came from the holo section. Though this could be a crème/glitter also. It does have holo in it it's just subtle. This is the most subtle holo I've received in my mystery holo orders but I love it!
Mystery Holo/Crème
See I'm not lying...the holo is very much there!

Coats -
Two perfect coats. No issues with formula.
Color Intensity -
This is such a dainty and feminine grey/gray (how do you spell it??)
The holo really gives this some sass and the shredded glitter looks like little bits of broken glass. A really stunning polish that I would've bought even if it wasn't a mystery!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat
Have you snagged any mysteries from Pahlish? I will not admit to how many I have...I won't!
Where to find the Pahlish -
Tomorrow I have a stunner from Smitten Polish!
Things I Fancy Friday - Florals, Fierce Finds, and Flats
Friday, May 2, 2014
'Tis Friday once again!
Hurricane season is on it's way in to Florida as shown by the 2 days of rain so far. So it's dreary in these parts.
I've got a busy weekend ahead of me so here's hoping the rain doesn't stop too much from getting done!
Now time for all the fabulousness.
******************************
Okay FINE I know it's well past the season for this outfit but I don't care! That BAG...scarf...blazer...watch...ALL of it! Needs it. Also this is totally the photo that inspired the "fierce finds" portion of the post title.

Another work week is headed out making room for the weekend.
Here's to the weekend not flying by!
Enchanted Polish and Pahlish Review - Featuring Ciao Milano and Mad Man with a Box
Thursday, May 1, 2014
I'm not normally a big fan of showing two polishes as one review.
Then Ciao Milano came into my life and I just had to post photos of it. Since it's a topper and not a stand alone polish next came finding a good pairing!
I've seen a good bit of swatches over Ciao Milano over black but since this was my mani for my husbands graduation...and the school colors feature navy...I used that as my base color inspiration.
I also didn't want to use a holo polish as the base. I wanted Ciao to stand out on it's own!
Enter...Pahlish...Mad Man with a Box. I knew it was the perfect base when I saw it. While you won't see the polish on it's own in this post it definitely doesn't go unseen in all it's deep dark blue glory!
The beauty of Ciao Milano is it didn't hide Mad Man with a Box. Thanks to the varying colors in Ciao the Pahlish was still very visible!
Okay enough blah blah blah...
Ciao Milano and Mad Man with a Box
Mad Man and all it's blue fabulousness.
A slight shift of the hand and voila! Ciao Milano shines!
A mix between the two!

Indoor in the evening light of my living room Indoors under the kitchen light
Outdoors in direct sunlight...the sprarkles were SO bright and color shifting that it didn't focus!
A slight shift shows the Pahlish more predominant (left) and shift again to see the EP come to life (right)
Coats -
Three coats of Pahlish Mad Man with a Box (no formula issues at all) and one coat of Enchanted Polish Ciao Milano. (no issues with formula)
Color Intensity -
I doubt it's just the combo of the navy base and Ciao topper...I think Ciao topped over any base it'll be striking but this duo really popped! I wore it for 2 days which is long for me since I obsessively change my polish. The color shift is prominent whether you're in the dim light, sunlight, or anywhere else. You'll see hints of so many different colors! Teal, purple, pink, blue, green...so many!
Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat - Liquid Lacquer base coat
Do you have any of the toppers from Enchanted Polish?
Are you a avid Pahlish fan like myself?
While EP's can be hard to come by since the site sells out so fast...keep an eye out for surprise restocks!
