OH MY GOODNESS...
It's Friday.
And...it's my mom's birthday! Happy Birthday mom!
Not only is it my mom's birthday today...my husband's birthday was Wednesday.

Okay so if you know me...you know I can't honestly say I've ever been a fan of Miley Cyrus. Then she went and did this on Jimmy Fallon and I'm loving it. And because of this I don't despise her. Well done Jimmy.
Jessica Lange is EVERYTHING. And she is the reason I keep coming back for American Horror Story...I'm not good with anything scary but I've been addicted to the show since season 1!
This because I'm tired now and all the time.

Good morning ladies (and gents aka my husband) -
So my Things I Fancy Friday post was scheduled to post so I thought BUT to my surprise...it did not.
Such are the pros and cons of relying on the internet!
Anywho...this week I have THE prettiest red I have ever used. It's true. So true that I kept this polish on for 3 days which is pretty record breaking for me.
I'd also liked to point out that I took these photos on DAY THREE! Imagine how gorgeous it was on day one.
Jade is a brand based out of Brazil but you can find them for sale on Ninja Polish and Llarowe - I snagged this one in a swap with a polish friend :)

It's the perfect red.
Perfect formula.
AND has shine all on it's own with or without a top coat
(I do have a top coat on here - HK Girl)
Don't let the burgundy that you see - it is REALLY red on the nail.
Depending on the lighting...this polish can be a darker or lighter red. Both are beauties.
It's more of a jelly polish which is where the shine comes from.

I'm back for ANOTHER review post for the week!
I'm honestly not sure if people really care about review posts but I know I love reading them and find a lot new products through blog reviews. So this post and really all review posts are just based on what I like to read. :-)

I felt compelled to share this with you because it's been the most impressive lip color and formula that I've used in a while. Which says a lot because I have A TON of lipsticks/glosses with me at all times. It's really quite silly to carry so many but I love options!

On a whim last weekend, while strolling the aisles of Walmart, I picked this color up along with two other brands/colors. So far this is the only one of the 3 new additions I've tried. Who knows....maybe the other two will be worth reviewing too.

If you're like me, you may be thinking, Wet n' Wild? Really?
Yes...really.
I'm going to share photos of the lipstick throughout my average day.
I'm not normally a fan of this "flat top" but it wasn't enough to deter me and I ended up being totally fine with it.
Because it's a little difficult to take the cap off you end up getting some residual lipstick on the inside. This is my only issue.

As you can see there wasn't ANY issue with feathering or "pilling" of the lipstick which is my biggest issue.
This is the lipstick with a clear gloss on the top of it.
A BIG thumbs up!

I prefer the lipstick without the gloss addition but it all depends on how you like the matte look.
Also, I was able to rub my lips together throughout the day without them feeling incredibly dry and without any gathering of the lipstick.
This will for sure be my "go to" lipstick until I find something that has this longevity!

Well. I hate to break this to you (or to myself for that matter) but it's the start of another work week.
BUT I can savor the fact that my weekend was filled with pretty polish. And pizza. Lots of pizza.

So before I go any further I have to admit something to you...
This polish is a glitter topper and I totally didn't use it for that purpose. I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF!
The bold blue and yellow glitter bits...I HAD to cover my nails with it. I had to.
Emotions aside...I did use it for it's intended purposes on one nail so I could share with you how freaking perfect it is as a topper.
I have macros and photos of the polish used as a topper AND as a regular polish.
Without further adieu...
What a beauty! Love this style of bottle more than any other! It feels so feminine.
Yes...bottled Elven Tears...it's true.
You can see it's all glitter. No base color here.
I topped this baby with a few coats of Poshe top coat and the glitter bombs were all nice and shiny and smooth.
I'll admit when I first saw the name...I immediately thought...Legolas. I'm pretty sure if his tears were in fact bottles...they would resemble this.
A couple macros of the good stuff - one with direct artificial light and one with indirect so you can see both the lighter version of the blue glitter and darker.
AND NOW...Elven Tears as a topper.
I used Julep Cleopatra as the base for. Cleopatra is a latex black polish and turned out to be a perfect choice.
See! Perfection. Elven Tears gives the black polish SUCH depth. And it's so shiny!
Hold on to your horses...topper macro. Swoon.
As you can see...the glitters are very well behaved and lay perfectly flat. No curling no nothing.

The photos with the polish used alone I used 3 to 4 coats. Which quite honestly isn't bad considering it's just glitter. A couple thin coats and a couple thick coats.
The photos with the polish used as a topper I only used 2 coats to get it densely coated over the black.
