Fabulous Friday Finds - I swear no wedding items this time!
Friday, February 10, 2012
But I cannot swear that there won't be any cat finds!
So! What's going on in your world? Anything fun going on this weekend?
Who's going to see The Vow with the ever so lovely Channing Tatum?
I grabbed that groupon deal not to long ago for the movie tickets. So my other half and I are anxiously waiting for those to arrive so we can see some movies!
I'm pet sitting for Bella and Griffin this weekend. Maybe I'll get a good photo of them now that my camera on my phone isn't awful.
I'll also be meeting up with my mom this Sunday to start brainstorming about the upcoming wedding. We've gotta figure out the budget and all that not so fun stuff. I'm ready to get the ball rolling!
So now onto some finds!
Watchful Eye Golden necklace via datter - I love this necklace! (There's a matching ring to if you prefer having another eye on your finger instead) :p - It's such a simple yet interesting necklace to wear and can easily be worn on a daily basis because of that.
Custom Felted cat bed via kceknits - Okay this is the oddest cat bed I've seen but you can't deny that a cat would love curling up in this thing, A perfect comfy hiding spot!
Hunger Games Necklace via LoveMontreal - Oh Katniss. How I love your mockingjay pin. I am ALMOST finished with Catching Fire. I have about 80 pages left to go!!!
Reversible Plaid Perfection Cape via thevintagecauldron - How amazing is this?? I love a good cape anyway but this plaid beauty is divine!!
Animal Pillows via vintagejane - AHHHHH!!! I need one of each...maybe two of a cat. Okay two of the fox too. And the deer...obviously my decision making skills are dreadful when it comes to adorable animal pillows.
Bow Tie collar necklace via jessamity - This colorful piece of work is pretty special. I was looking for bow tie necklaces that were made out of metal and THIS is made out of tin! Such a unique piece of wearable art.
That's it! Do you have your eye on any fun finds this week?
Talk to you soon!

Random Wednesday - #12
Wednesday, February 8, 2012
Man oh man! My brain has been all over the place recently. I forgot what day it was! I'd like to blame it on the upcoming (but not yet planned) nuptials but I think I'm just losing my mind.
Oh! I got a new phone! Wooooo hooooo! My iphone is outta here...I just couldn't get with the whole iphone phenomenon. While I am still on instagram (sewsavoirfaire) thanks to my handy dandy ipod I'm just an android girl! I had a MyTouch Slide 3G for the last couple of years but made the switch to the fancy MyTouch 4G Slide yesterday. Thank you craigslist! The camera is AMAZING. So now at least my "random wednesday" cell phone photos won't be so awful. (Most of these were taken with my old phone/iphone)
So let's get this random party started!
My new bag...I LOVE this bag! Are you signed up with Ideeli? It's like groupon and all those discount sites but it's all about fashion/home goods. This beauty is the first thing I've bought from ideeli and I am so glad I did. That little pink thing it's sitting on is my Nook (which the purse has a perfect hidden spot for my nook!)
This photo was part of my #febphotoaday set (10 am) - I love DVR. It gives me the option to pause Channing Tatum. <3
Super bowl Sunday - these two lazy bums got nice and comfy for the big game. No joke...they are watching it!
Another #febphotoaday photo - This one is embarassing but that's never stopped me from sharing something with you! This was day 6 - dinner!! My hair is a mess! That's a after all day in bobby pins hair do.
My little squeaker Trixie. This is the first photo I took with my new phone.
Ahhhhh!!!! My ring! I wanted to share this since the first one I posted was so dark and hard to see. I love it! (I picked it out!)
Just me testing out the front facing camera on my phone : )
Ta da! That's it! Are you participating in the photo challenge? Are you sharing them on twitter or instagram? I'm on both!
Talk to you soon!
What I Wore - *Bring on the Flowers*
Monday, February 6, 2012
Hey lovelies!!!
Thank you guys so much for the good wishes on my engagement post!!
Part of me wants to go into the story but the other part of me doesn't because I promise it is not a crazy "movie-esque" proposal. I feel like I may you guys down!! But of course if nothing else...I'm daringly honest...SO I will share the story SOON!
How was your weekend? I spend the weekend meeting up with girlfriends who wanted to know more about the engagement and also spent some time with my lovely mother to start figuring out a game plan!
Oh before I get to the photos I HAVE to share this amazing deal. Seriously.
I posted about the places I shop and I've got another one to add to the glasses category.
Ladies who wear glasses please take advantage of this deal!
If you've never purchased glasses from Coastal Lenses you can get a FREE pair of glasses! FREE!! I can't be anymore excited about it. I bought an $88.00 pair of glasses for only the cost of shipping last night! Make sure you have your prescription info!
*These are the glasses I bought!*
If you get a pair let me know which one you get too! There are so many options. I'm giddy about it...it's sad how exciting a new pair of glasses can make me!
Okay, onto the wears!
This is me reprimanding my *now fiance* about taking video of me not photos. He gets that reprimand and face very often.
*Looks like these were taken BEFORE the proposal!*

I'm going to get straight to the finds!!
(And yes my descriptions will be vague...it's more fun that way!)
(And yes my descriptions will be vague...it's more fun that way!)

Random Wednesday #11 - Antiques, cats (again!), and records!
Wednesday, February 1, 2012
So I feel like every day could be considered random for me.
I swear I try to plan my day and then a pebble of some varying shape and size gets thrown in the spokes and my day goes all wonky.
But alas, I will try to keep some order in my world and make Wendesday the only "official" day of random!
I mentioned on Monday that I'd share what the other 25% of my weekend consisted of today so here it is!
Fun at the antique village!
Man oh man...I spent 2 hours at the Bayard Antique Village last Saturday...and I'm so glad I took my time to really dig into the stuff!
The first photo is of the BOX full of goodies. Yep, they gave me a box, a large part of the village is a giant "barn" that is full of odds and ends. Plus on the outside there are little "cottages" that have specific items like all Christmas items or all shabby chic goodies.
The box has a vintage (union made!) blueberry velvet blazer. Sadly it's not my size so that'll be in the shop eventually. A handful of records. A cute vintage planter. The rest of the items are in the single photos.
I managed to find the PERFECT odds and ends for the much needed coffee table decor. (See third photo) That adorable little bumble bee item is a vintage sugar jar!
Do you have a large outdoors antique mall in your neighborhood? If not...you should come to Jacksonville so we can go to the Bayard Antique mall and shop!! : )
Other random photos -
I'm participating in the photo a day this month! Yaaay! I'll be on twitter and instagram...are you participating?
That's me...in my pj's...that's Trixie ON my pj's.
My Charlie girl eyeing my records that I had just brought home. A box of records for 15 bucks...AND there were a pretty large amount of really good records!
Speaking of records...have you seen this beauty? It's an REO Speedwagon record. Now it is decoration. Come on!! Look at the cool cats!
That's it! That's enough randomness for this week anyway :p
Oh! Did you see my shopping guide? I have to try not to look at it...it makes me want to shop!!
