Unplugged
Monday, October 17, 2011
Hey lovelies!
I wanted to say that I have no fallen off the face of the blog world nor have I been kidnapped.
Okay so I was only gone for two days but that is like an eternity in this world!
I completely and utterly unplugged this weekend. And like most who do this...it felt amazing.

So my regular "What I Wore" post will be featured tomorrow once I get fully back in the internet game.
I spent most of my weekend watching movies and I had to take my little Penny to the vet ($137 bucks later...diagnosis is she has an ear infection and acne...cat acne...weird)
It was my other half's birthday over the weekend and we celebrated at my parents house with grilling and delicious Italian Wedding Cake (so good!)
And yes I can't help myself...I just love to blow out candles...thanks babe for letting me step in on that part of your birthday : )
How was your weekend? Do you ever need to "disconnect" for the online world?
Ta Da! Finally...Fabulous Friday Finds!
Friday, October 14, 2011
Needless to say...it's been a long week! Just one of "those" weeks that creeps by like a one legged zombie...which I'm assuming would be a very slow moving being.
I'm so happy to share some great finds this week with all of you lovelies though! I always look forward to each Friday so I can share some goodies!
But FIRST, I have to share with you my new coffee table, that I got (haggled) for the low low price of $40! I found it on craigslist after searching for a table that had more than one level so I could store items that didn't "need" to be on top of the table and it's got a handy dandy drawer that holds remotes and my laptop! Woo hoo! How we managed to get it in my car is another story...it was almost a tragedy but we did it!
Have you found any great finds on craigslist?
On to the fabulous finds!
Round Glass Butter Dish via yevgenia - seriously the most gorgeous butter dish I've ever seen! The colors are SO pretty.
Scottish Tartan Kilt Journal via peaseblossumstudio - I am kinda obsessed with this journal...from the fabric to the safety pin <3
Vintage cat necklace via dinafragola - I'm a sucker for the vintage pictures/paintings of cats and how they have such personality in their expressions.
Polka Dot red cups via SovietEra - One word. Love.
Vintage 1980's Mid Calf Riding Boot via pineapplemint - These are dreamy. Perfect for jeans and perfect for dresses and skirts!
That's it! See anything you are loving now too?
Any big plans for the weekend? I have to take my little Penelope to the vet...because I cancelled last week since the weather was so awful.
Talk to you soon!

Tick tock time is ticking away and it'll soon be Halloween!
I received my Pebbles costume in the mail yesterday, sadly it's pretty large, BUT my wig fits and oh my goodness it is too cute. SO...I'll figure something out : )
And look who made themselves comfy in the package my costume came in....Trixie...she is still SO tiny even at 6 months old!

Have you narrowed it down to what you'll be wearing this year?
I came across such a cute and time friendly Halloween craft and thought it would be perfect to share with you guys!
Friendly Ghosts
Pop on over to Country Living to see the slideshow of instructions. There are 4 or 5 slides so not a difficult or super time consuming craft to do. Not to mention...those ghosts are so cute...I mean hauntingly creepy of course :p
Have you made a lot of homemade Halloween crafts this year?
*Make sure to swing by tomorrow for Fabulous Friday Finds AND I have to share with you my new easy on the pocketbook coffee table and where I found the bargain!*

Mid-Week Tranquility - Yaaaay!
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
So, my bank account has gotten me very stressed out, so here's hoping a little dose of tranquility via a photo can relax my nerves a bit.
Though that may not be likely (you and I both know what will calm those types of nerves...more money!) but I digress. :p
How do you cope with the stress of paying those bratty and way too needy bills on time? My tactic right now is just *crossing my fingers.*
TRANQUILITY NOW!
Love it. Not just because of that gorgeous home in the background, but between the hammock, the swing, and the view...I'm there. Mentally anyway!
Talk to you soon!
Let's Play Dress Up in Halloween City! *Photo Heavy and a video!*
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
Well that's what my other half and I did last Saturday evening.
We started out just going to PetsMart to pick up some food for the gremlions but the store that used to be Borders (RIP) had been transformed into Halloween City!
So needless to say I physically dragged my other half into the store just to have a look around, because as you know, Borders stores are not small by any means so I knew it would be packed full of fun items.
First up a video. Let me preface this with -
I had NO idea he was filming a video! My other half was SUPPOSED to be taking a photo!
And here are the rest - these are ALL from my cell phone so the quality is awful but then again - the photos don't really need a great camera because they are nothing but silly!
Good old Slash-esque hair.
Hehe...can you see how much fun he's having? My less than happy wizard haha!
Hahahaha!
Sherlock Holmes...that is my detective face.
Arrrrgh!
This picture cracks me up! Look at me in the trenches of Halloween City haha.
And lastly, I'm including this because it cracks my other half up, I am all crazy eyed!
Am I the only one that's had this type of little adventure so far this month? What is your first stop in a costume store? I obviously enjoy hats!
