NailNation 3000 Review - Eleanora #DP 1850

Welcome to the fun zone people. Welcome.

And by fun I mean...fabulous.

I have one more Nailnation to show you then I'm all out of NN to share!

But in opinion...I saved the best for last. Not just because I love the name Eleanora either.

On a sad note...it doesn't appear to be in stock right now! I believe there will be restock soon though.

Fun Fact: Eleanora was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe - and is part of the Dead Poet's Society collection.

So enough of my blabbing...check her out!

Eleanora -
Intensely holographic nude polish with a lavender shift!

I know you're thinking...this isn't a nude. I know I thought the same thing...but THIS my friends is the lavender shift.

Getting a little less lavender here...

AND the nude. It is SO pretty and the holo just jumps off the nails...figuratively not literally of course.

Eleanora is so lady like but really packs a punch.

As you can see in the macros the base really is a nude color but the pops and shifts of lavender come from those amazing shimmery bits! AHHHH! Gimme.

Coats -
Three thin coats. Two thicker coats would suffice too. And honestly it was so pretty I just kept painting...I have no self control.
Color Intensity -
SO intense. I wish I could've gotten a sunlight photo but alas that didn't pan out. It is stunningly holo but subtle because of the light base color.
Top Coat - China Glaze top coat
Base Coat -
Pure Ice - from Walmart

Make sure to swing by Maria's shop and see what's in stock! I have a 20% off code just for you! Use the code THATGAL20 at check out.

PS - PLEASE make sure to swing by tomorrow for a very special Things I Fancy Friday. I have a whole bunch of fancy to share with you!

*polish provided for a review and honest opinion*

What I Wore Wednesday - Pockets, Circle Skirts, and Chambray

Please tell me I'm not the ONLY one that thinks every skirt/dress should have pockets?

I don't think companies truly understand how amazing pockets are on skirts.
Eshakti does because EVERY skirt and dress has them. Unless you don't want them...then you can ask for them to be removed!! What! It goes without saying...I've never asked for that.

I snagged this dress during a big clearance event on their site because I didn't have any chambray and I figured getting something that was a dress made the most sense. Lucky for me it was perfection and it's still my only piece and chambray. I'm totally okay with that.

Now grab the nearest circle skirt and come take a twirl with me!
Dress - Eshakti
Cardigan - bought second hand - I believe it's orignally from Forever21
Headband - Etsy - Threddies
Shoes - Chelsea Crew from a zulily sale!
Earrings - World Market (same earrings different color)
Ring - Kohls

And so you can actually see everything I linked to!
Details -

So I didn't include what lipstick I was wearing because...I forgot. Chances are good it's NYX something or another or MAC. But who really knows now since I forgot to take a photo of the tube!

Come back by tomorrow to see a lovely lady named...Eleanora.

And on Friday...I have a very special edition of Things I Fancy Friday!!

Mani Series - Sherlock - A Study in Polish - Consulting Criminal

Hey guys!

Please tell me you were able to stop by and see my Aly's post yesterday...if not make sure to check it out!

Okay so I didn't really give a heads up or announce this series but hey...it's happening.

So as you may or may not know (you totally should know if you don't!) Sherlock Season III began Sunday evening on PBS! If this is news to you...please please please go to Netflix and watch the first two seasons ASAP.

So in honor of my love for the series I thought it would be fun to share some polishes from my favorite Sherlock collection of polishes!

A Study in Polish has such a fabulous Sherlock collection! I have all of them but the two new additions (Not Your Housekeeper and I Do Post-Mortems)

Today I have Consulting Criminal - based on the one and only - Moriarty.

Consulting Criminal is a black jelly packed full of red and silver glitters.

I had this in my helmer for over a month and there was zero issues with any glitter sinking or settling as you can see in the bottle.

The red and silver glitters vary in size giving lots of depth to the polish.

And the man himself...

Coats -
Two coats. No glitter fishing. So easy it should be a crime!
Color Intensity -
Black but not pitch black with two coats. More coats would provide a darker opaque black.
 Top Coat - HK Girl
Base Coat -

Come back next week for more Sherlock! I'm not sure which in the collection I'll share next week...but I have an idea :-)

Mani Monday - Aly's Dream Polish Review - Blue Violet

Wowza you guys.

First off the weekend was over and done with before I even knew it.

It's a double-edged sword being busy on the weekend. It flies by if you're busy but you also feel productive.

It was a polish filled weekend. ALL day Saturday was spent lining my helmers with shelf liner (those gray things in the first photo below) but it feels good to have my polish NOT slide around all drunk like when I open the drawers. Also I did some swatching...so polish, polish, polish.

And in the polish vein...I have another Aly's Dream Polish to show you today!

If you hadn't guessed it yet...Aly's is hands down my favorite polish brand. It's true.

While taking photos yesterday morning I realized my light box I use for photos makes a fabulous rainbow when direct sunlight hits it. It kinda made my morning. I snapped a photo to share the rainbow.

Fun right? It totally brightened up my morning...I wish I could start every day that way!

Okay on to polish.

I'm sharing with you today - Blue Violet - a soft and dainty blue based purple holographic polish.

Words cannot express how lovely this polish and all Aly's Dream Polish is.
There is something so special and unique about the blend and formula and the holographic sparkle is perfection.

Two macros to show color variation depending on light. In direct or bright light it'll appear more blue based. But COME ON they are both freaking beautiful!

Double the macro - double the fun.

And on an even MORE exciting note...because I snapped these photos in the bright morning light I was able to snap so gorgeous direct sunlight photos -

I CAN'T EVEN....the rainbow in direct sunlight makes me want to run in circles like a crazy rainbow weirdo.

And on that note let's wrap this baby up!

Coats -
Two easy coats.
Color Intensity -
Intensely bright but not too bright and it's perfectly dainty but still striking.
 Top Coat -
Base Coat -

Aly's WILL be opening up her shop again before too long for another round of pre-orders so make sure to follow her FB page to stay in the loop! You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be snagging more! Because you can never have enough Aly's.

Things I Fancy Friday - Red Lips, Vintage Glamour, and Colorful Clusters

IT'S HERE!!!

Alert the presses...the time has arrived.

And yes...I know you know I'm talking about the fact that it's Friday...just humor me and pretend you don't know. :-)

Any big plans for the weekend? Or low key ones?
The hubby and I have to drop Charlie, the black and white cat on the far left in my blog banner, off at the vet Saturday. Not to worry...just a check up!

Also...I am tentatively planning on at the very least beginning to swatch my polish stash!
Ahhhh!

Okay okay...it's fancy time.

I love everything about this photo.

The lovely Gentri is working it in every way in this gorgeous vintage inspired ensemble. I'm OBSESSED with all of it.

Yep, more red lipstick. This post has a fabulous run down of some go to reds at lots of different price points.

I love the "stage" like wood platform in this photo. Also the bright and colorful cluster of photos is so fun and fresh.

And another little cluster...I used wildflowers for my wedding flowers so anything like this is top notch for me. I would love to have something like this hanging inside or outside the house.

Another week is said and done and I'm already preparing for what's to come next week.

I feel like 2014 is going to be a busy one.

Oh! Next week is the premiere of Season 3 of Sherlock on PBS...and I have some Sherlock inspired polish to share with you in honor of the exciting occasion! I'm not sure what day I'll be sharing it but it'll be here at some point next week!

See ya Monday!
