What I Wore - *Yellow and Flowers at the Antique Village*

'Ello Lovelies (I just went British there for sec...sometimes it's just a necessity)

How was your weekend? Did you do any Christmas related activities?
I'm happy to report I did everything I had planned on doing!

-I made a wreath.
-I made a little forest of Christmas trees
-We set up the tree
-And I took photos of some of the items for the soon to open shop

Success!
PS - I'll be posting photos of the wreath, the trees I made, AND my Christmas tree tomorrow!

These outfit shots are from the past weekend when my other half and I went to the Bayard Antique Village done the street from us. We took the shots in my favorite little house, it's all shabby chic items, plus I took some photos of the "wild" animals roaming around.

The white coffee table behind me...I love it...and it's a fair price of $50 bucks!

The blue mirror behind me is so quaint and delicate. It's got a cute little awning like shelf on it too. <3

Goodbye lovely mirror!

A wild cat in it's natural habitat of the Antique yard. What a life. Shade, a swinging bench, food, water. They seem very content!

Another one! The only cats that are there are grey cats. There are at least 4 of them but I'm sure there are more. I wonder if my Benny was there if I could pick him out of the crowd!

Antiques AND cats...always a good day at the village!

What I Wore - *Khaki, Flowers, and Pockets!*

Hey lovelies! How was your weekend?

My other half and I went to see Breaking Dawn yesterday. Have any of you seen it yet? What did you think? I was pleasantly surprised with Part 1 and I can't believe Part 2 won't come out until this time next year!

I saw the preview for The Hunger Games too...I really need to start the series! I bought the first book recently so it's on my list of books to read.

Oh! And I picked up an ornament for my ornament exchange partner Meg. Are you part of the swap over at Dolce Vita?

Sooooo....here are the outfit photos (if you follow me on Twitter then you've already seen a sneak peak of my shoes last week!)

Pockets!! Ahhhh! One of the many favorite parts of this amazing dress!

Loving the bows on the sleeves. Such a fun detail.

Shoes!!!!!! Eeeek! Yes I'm that excited. They are a tapestry fabric and I love em'!

Don't mind the black outline around my nail, I managed to get printer ink all over my hands at work, it was amazing none of it got on my dress. The Audrey Hepburn brooch is from joyfuljewelrydesigns.

Now this is a dress to spin in!

Yep.

That's all for now!

Wears from Head to Toe -

Dress - Eshakti
Shoes - UrbanOG

Have you ever purchased anything from Eshakti? I bought three dresses for my first go around with them and they all fit which is always a good thing AND they are all perfection! Score! : )

Talk to you soon,

Fabulous Friday Finds is here once again! Woo hoo!

I know, I know, I "woo hoo" a lot but it's the first thing that comes out of my mouth or goes through my head when I get excited about something!!

Do you have a phrase that you think you may overuse?

Anyway! I am extremely excited yet again to share some finds from this weeks window shopping ventures.

Soooo....I should forewarn you that I really did TRY not to have SO many cat items....it was a valiant effort but I kinda failed. Humor an old cat lady this week and I promise to lessen the amount of feline finds next week!

Cat Shirt (men or women) via BeadArtExpress - Let's just say my other half is lucky that I don't buy us these matching cat shirts.

Vintage Kitsch Mood Barometer via WhatsOnTheShelf - This thing cracks me up! It's like a heads up to anyone that enters your dwelling...tread lightly or come on in!

Caturday Forecast Umbrella via Modcloth - Seriously? I wouldn't even MIND the abundance of rain here if I had this umbrella!! Silly little kittens in planters.

Vintage Brown Suede Satchel via magnoliavintageco - Maybe the fall season is starting to rub off on me even though it's 80 degrees in Florida. You gotta love a good satchel and the delicious chocolate color is amazing!
The Cutest Sneeze in the World Cat Postcards via Modcloth - Ahhhh! Cat sneezes!! When cats or animals in general sneeze it cracks me up! There are more than just sneezing cats in the mix of these postcards too. Just a bunch of cat hilarity in there.

Lace Up Wedge Bootie via UrbanOG - More suede except this is faux suede hence why these beauties are only $27! I know I'm slightly in love with this site but I have a huge crush on shoes.

That's it!
*PS - You should see my "watch list" on ebay. The amount of cat items is scary. But let's not go there this week!*

Any big plans for the weekend?

It's supposed to be pretty nice here but I don't have anything planned as of right now. Oh except to watch Beastly because Netflix was kind enough to get me my DVD just in time for the weekend.

Talk to you soon!!

It's Back! Thrifty *Tutorial* Thursday!

Hey lovelies!

Though the weather is dreadful in not so sunny Florida today. (Isolated thunderstorms galore) I am in a fabulous mood!

Why you may ask? Because I have on one of my absolute FAVORITE dresses. Yes it's so favorite it's in all caps. Even better than that...I have the most amazing shoes on with it.

Make sure to stop by on Monday to see the What I Wore post to see the whole get up.
Here's a peak at the shoes though!
Eeek! I get excited just looking at them. I think I may have a slight obsession with shoes or shopping. I've come to terms with it and have accepted it! :p

So here is the tutorial.
When I saw this I was blown away! Not just because of how inexpensive it was but how friggin' neat it was!

Water Balloon Candle Holders
*I know I was like...huh?*

Head on over to Dollar Store Crafts to get the full run down on the supplies and directions for this super thrifty craft! Before you head over I have to tell you this entire thing costs $3.00!

If you try it you have to tell me or show me how it turns out!
Find me on Twitter or shoot me an email!

Now...time for me to get back to work!

Fabulous Friday Finds AND a brand new bird on the block!

I would like to start off by saying, I am a creature of habit, BUT I want to expand my finds to items not just on Etsy. I window shop...a lot...so needless to say not all my favorite items are from Etsy.

This will be the first addition of FFF with a melting pot of finds!

Before I get to that though.
I want explain bird part of the post. If you haven't guessed it already...I joined Twitter!! Finally! Sometimes I think I am the last person on the planet to sign up but I'm so glad I made the leap to the twitterverse. So if you want to mosey on over and follow me...please do! @SewSavoirFaire is where you'll find me. Now give me a learning curve here...remember it's new to me.

Finds time!

Navy Pleated Dress via Shabby Apple - This dress in any color especially navy. I've decided it's pretty much the most perfect dress. The cut, the detail, the length with an old school structure. Love!

Custom Kitty Charm via The Dapper Toad - If you are a feline mom then chances are you will love this too. It's such a cute idea and the detail work in the faces are just magical. <3

Velvet Sequin Platform Pump via UrbanOG - These beauties would be en route to my house by now if they had my size. Hello holiday heels AND they come in multiple colors!! PS - they are $29!!

All Natural Mineral Makeup and Cosmetics via Madison Street Beauty - I made a purchase from this divine Etsy shop when I bought a Heartsy deal and I'm pretty obsessed now. I've bought an array of make up from different Etsy shops and so far this has to be some of my favorite. PS - There is a HUGE grand re-opening sale going on right now through midnight tonight - 70% off your entire order (yes I placed another order) for the code check out her facebook page you won't regret it!

Framed Pair of Hares via PrettyZoo - The look of this necklace is so unique and special. Such an interesting piece to add to an outfit.

Ta da!! That's it! This is probably one of my favorite list of finds. Just looking at the photo of those heels make me drool. <3 Super not lady like...but whatever! :p

Any great finds lately that you had to grab right away or add to your "must have" list?

PS - My opinions on these items are soley my own!

What I Wore (Not so serious outtake shots!) - *Watermelon Love*

Hey lovelies! How was your weekend?

I was out sick from work on Friday and was doing my best to recoup FULLY before going back to work today. My doc said that I was more than likely having a reaction to the flu shot that I go on Thursday at work. That I was experiencing symptoms of the flu but didn't HAVE the flu per say. Either way...I felt awful.
But started to feel normal-ish again by Sunday. So here's hoping I will work a full week of work!

On a brighter note take a second or two to check out my oh so fun ensemble. I am in love with my tights from Foot Traffic they are called Watermelon and were just perfect for my dress!

There is only one photo with them because my other half didn't take many that included the whole outfit! These are mostly me just acting like a goofball.

What I Wore - *Fall is in the Air* and a sweet little puppy!

Hello lovelies!

How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting?

I spent my weekend dog sitting a sweet little pup named Miki -

*photos by me*

I've got one more day with the sweet little guy before his mama comes home. He's such a sweetie pie...but my felines are not a fan when I come home smelling like puppy!

**************************************

On to the wears! - Sorry not a ton of photos to share - it was about to pour so I had to do a quick shoot!

This has to be one of my favorite new dresses. I've worn it twice already since getting it in the mail last week. Have you purchased any items from Shop Speedy Girl

What I Wore - *Sunny on a Gray Day*

So over the weekend, we went and checked out an antique town, well it looked like a little town. It's right down the street from our house and it's called Bayard Antique Village.

It's pretty amazing to say the least. I didn't go looking for anything in particular because honestly I didn't know what to expect. We were there for well over an hour but had to flee the scene because the rain was looming over head.

I did manage to get some shots of my ensemble though to share with you all!

Wide shot - I'm in the 1.00 or Less cottage! The cottages are all so darn cute and different.

Lookie lookie...this girl found some vinyls! The one you can see...it of course is The Go Go's.
$1.00 a record...yes!

In case you didn't see my Sunday post, it's also where I got this beauty of a necklace, <3!

Do you have any fun "off the beaten" path places like the Antique Village in your city?
