It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas at the Casa!

I'm so excited to share these photos with everyone!

This is the first year that I've had an actual Christmas tree set up and to top it off it's in a house that I own! It's still hard for me to grasp that fact.

I didn't take a photo of my wreath that I made yet so I'll share that another day!

First up - the CUTEST ornaments ever! I participated in an ornament exchange and Meg over at The Kissy Pearl made me the most adorable ornaments I've ever seen! Four ornaments for four cats!

Benny

Trixie

Charlie (I love that Meg even included Charlie's little Charlie Chaplin mustache!)

Penelope (The ornament is orange but it was night time when I took these!)

The finished tree! Can you find all the cat ornaments?

Here are the finished yarn trees that I made over the weekend.

I had so much fun making these trees! The buttons are my favorite. I got everything from the clearance Christmas section at Joanns Fabric plus I had a coupon so all the wreath supplies (not pictured) and the yarn tree supplies only set me back 30 bucks!

Alycia gave me the idea to give the trees a try and I'm SO glad I did!
I highly recommend giving them a try they really don't take much time to do. All you need is foam trees from the flower section of most craft stores, yarn, pins to secure the yarn when you wrap it, and decorations!

Now I'm just crossing my fingers our tree stays up! Last year we had to put the tree outside on our porch at the apartment because Penelope kept trying to climb it!

PS - Today is the LAST day to enter the KittyKeyCaps giveaway!

Talk to you soon!

  5. Your yarn trees are ADORABLE! I've been contemplating making some - but I've been making such a disaster out of the tree skirt I'm trying to put together that I don't know if I'll get around to them. Your tree is very pretty and the ornaments are so cute - wish I'd joined in something like that! Must feel so good to own a place, Jenna! I can't wait until Todd and I can :)
